These two sweet lovers of the outdoors decided to have a destination wedding in Banff, Alberta at the magnificent Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Their vision was about elegance, simplicity and design choices that would highlight, not overpower, the beauty of the scenery and the wedding venue. We achieved this with light decor and a fresh and clean palette of forest green, blush pink and ivory.

As part of my full planning package,
I love to design all the paper goods for my couples, which I did for Sarah & Brandon. I designed the invitation, RSVP card, ceremony program, menus, place cards and seating cards to all follow the same dark green, leafy theme
For attire, the girls selected dresses in a variety of styles, all different hues of the same green. This created just enough contrast to keep things interesting but still blend well. The boys opted for gray suits and matching forest green ties, with the groom in a blush pink tie to set him apart.
We chose clear acrylic for our smaller signs and gorgeous stained wood for our larger signs to provide elegance and warmth.
During the cocktail hour, Sarah and Brandon snuck off to take some couple portraits nearby and get some gorgeous shots out in the landscape. Kensie and Angie did an amazing job capturing their sweet moments together.
For florals, we kept it simple with pops of blush and light pink paired with dark, rich greens. We had beautiful arrangements done by Adventure Floral for the ceremony which were repurposed as the reception head table decor.
The reception tables featured loose greenery flowing down the center with carefully placed roses to add color. At each place setting, guests were given a pale green napkin and forest green menu wrapped in twine and tied with a small piece of greenery.
As all these details attest to, the design for this special day was about adding style and sophistication in a subtle way.
This wedding was a joy to plan and partner with Sarah & Brandon on. Their vision came to life so beautifully, and it made the day feel magical. All happiness to them!

Working with Makayla was an amazing experience and made the wedding planning process feel stress free and seamless!
