Real Wedding Feature: Julia & Greg

On a warm August day, Julia and Greg, affectionately known as “Gregulia” to friends, family and myself during our planning together, tied the knot at the breathtaking Cochrane RancheHouse. This couple’s love story came to life in a wedding that was as heartfelt as it was picturesque. After months of planning and exciting life changes—including a four-month road trip across the the continent of Australia—the big day finally arrived, and it was nothing short of spectacular.

Cochrane RancheHouse served as the perfect backdrop for Julia and Greg's special day. Surrounded by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and full of simple charm, this setting captured the spirit of the couple’s adventurous hearts. Inside, their personalized décor told the story of their love, incorporating handpicked details from various stages of their journey together. From the carefully curated animal table cards to the memorial table that honored their loved ones, no detail was overlooked.

The ceremony itself was deeply moving and reminded me why I love weddings so much. After Greg's grandpa triumphantly walked down the aisle followed by the sweet flower children in their matching dresses, Julia and Greg exchanged heartfelt vows in front of family and friends, each word reflecting the incredible journey they have shared so far looking forward to many more adventures together.

The reception that followed was full of warmth and laughter. With music, delicious food, and heartfelt speeches, the evening unfolded beautifully. Julia and Greg’s unique touches continued to stand out, from their signature drinks to their decision to release tables for dinner using a fun trivia game about their dating life. Guests eagerly participated, answering questions about the couple’s relationship to win the chance to be the first to dine. This playful twist kept the atmosphere lively and engaging and showcased how well J & G have brought their loved ones along in their journey together.

Reflecting on the day and the entire process of planning with these two, it’s clear how much this wedding was not just a celebration of their relationship but also a culmination of everything they’ve been through together. As their planner, I was honored to be part of their journey. From helping with final vendor coordination to ensuring each personal item was placed with care, it was a joy to see everything come together beautifully.

Julia and Greg, thank you for letting me play a role in your love story. Your journey—from finishing two jobs, moving across the world, and planning a wedding—was nothing short of extraordinary. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and adventure, much like the incredible August day we celebrated together.

with love,
